Apparently my article on common mechanisms of spinal cord injury in Canadian amateur hockey, and their implications for the NHL, was successfully nominated for the Sports Blog Nation front page, as part of the discussion about the Alexander Ovechkin hit on Brian Campbell last weekend. Hot damn.

Credited on the front page to Derek Zona.
Congrats though.
Presumably because I can’t post on the front page of C&B myself, and thus he has to promote it. Or because he submitted it for the SBN front page as blog manager. I dunno, I don’t care. He’s the one that told me and congratulated me, so whatever.
Fair enough. I should have stressed the “congrats though.” It’s always nice to see your writing hit that kind of notoriety. I’m just personally annoyed by the byline (and I would be if it were anyone — not just Derek), especially since he profits from its success (and it is credited to him) and you don’t.
Just doesn’t seem fair.
But that could be just me. Having your stuff read is likely the more important aspect to you, so it doesn’t really matter.
