So, I never got around to playing the God of War games on PS2. But today I saw God of War 1&2 as a collection for PS3 for $30. Not bad.
The entertaining thing, for me, is that the game is pretty easy yet I managed to have the game ask me if I wanted to switch to Easy Mode because I died so often. Why did I die that many times? Log walking. Had I switched to Easy Mode I would have died just as many times.
Oh well, failure apparently gets a trophy on this game anyway 
Yeah, the God of War games are pretty awesome. I’ve contemplated upgrading from the PS2 versions to the shiny HD, but haven’t found it really worth it yet…

Funny story – while the game is fairly easy (not like I’m playing it on god mode or anything though) I needed Jenn to beat the first boss (Hydra). I cannot hit the button quickly enough. Luckily, she can.
But yea, since I didn’t have the original games I figured $30 for the two in HD wasn’t bad. If you want the pot sweetened, the HD collection has a code for the demo of GoW III which is pretty sweet (and shiny!)
Yeah, I’m tempted to see how much my PS2 copies trade-in for, maybe I don’t even have to pay to upgrade it (between trade-in value and staff discount). Oh well, right now, I have ME2, and a rented copy of Bioshock 2, so I’m set…
