So, I finally started watching Battlestar Galactica. I’d seen a few eps of the old series — enough to have some idea of what was going on. It seemed the plot’s changed somewhat.
The funny thing, for me, is that Starbuck is effectively the same character, but female. Everything else is the same.
It’s like Final Fantasy XIII. Rather than having the vaguely effeminate male lead, we now have the vaguely masculine female lead. Effectively the same character, but a different gender.
Oh, how far we’ve come with equality for all
