That’s been me. I don’t even really come today with anything all that great. I mean sure, I could through up a link to something ridiculous like “Happy In Paraguay”, but all that really proves is that some people can lipsync pointless lines to Star Trek episodes…
…okay, I did it anyways, so shoot me.
Besides work being hectic, accidentally eating shellfish, and a reawakening of my love for dill pickle sunflower seeds, I’ve been busy with a rental of Bioshock 2. I thoroughly enjoyed the game, but why the hell did they throw a multiplayer aspect in? It’s not needed for the Bioshock series. I do have to agree with the reviews who talk about the story not being as good as the first, but really, how could they have matched that story? They did a pretty damn good job though, and once again, you NEED to be collecting those diaries to truly appreciate it. I’m not going to rush out and buy it (since I beat it on this rental and need to get back to Mass Effect 2), but it’s definitely one I’ll be adding to my collection eventually.
Onto music…I know its a bit late by a few months, but I’ve been really enjoying Hatebreed’s new album, released back at the end of September, as well as a Danish band called Volbeat. Both are pretty awesome. Check em out if you got a chance. In fact, I’ll toss a video of each of them up following this, of one of my favorite songs off their newest albums.
From Hatebreed (2009′s Hatebreed)…”In Ashes They Shall Reap”:
And from the Danish heavy metal/alternative metal/groove metal/rockabilly/punk rock playing Volbeat (2008′s Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood)…”Wild Rover Of Hell”:
These guys also have a pretty kicking version of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” on the same album.
Anyhow, I need to run and continue working on other things, just figured I’d pop on in here quickly while turning on the music for the task of cleaning…
Who am I kidding, I’ll probably just end up firing ME2 up…the dreaded scanning must continue…
