When Ender directed me to the site today, after days of it being down, I was immediately struck by how different it looked. I definitely like the new aesthetic, having never been huge on the green (edit: I’m an idiot; see the comments, then play me off, Keyboard Cat), and hopefully, our shiny new site will be easier to spambot-proof after the disaster that befell us before. And hopefully, it will also encourage more commenting, since everyone gets how WordPress and Blogger work, on a fundamental level. (Certainly, if it doesn’t, there’s only one place left to lay the blame.)
No clue what we’re going to do with the old posts, though, especially if simply migrating them over proves difficult or impossible. I may just repost the handful of articles and posts that I’m particularly proud of and/or may need to reference in the future. This site is very much under construction, so stay tuned.

To be fair, the site won’t look like this for hugely long since this is a stock theme that I pulled off of the WordPress site.
Though I did repeatedly ask you about the green and you said you were ok with it, so the next time I ask you about a layout, stop lying
I told you for at the time I preferred the old blue layout, but eventually gave in because it wasn’t worth complaining about and making you go to the effort to change.
Heh. I love how this is coming up now seeing as how we had the green layout for less than a year, and it was gone more than a year ago.
Oh shit right, it has been gone for a while, hasn’t it? I’ve been not-noticing it for so long I remembered the yellow links and filled in the blanks from there. Doesn’t help that I can’t just look at the site and see that it’s not green, either.
Well, I can see how to backdate posts and the ilk, so putting in the archives would just be a case of the time.
The things I would lean to wonder about more would be the reviews and such, but I suppose we could always just have everyone put their review on one master post…

Matt, stop thinking. For the time being I figure it’s ok to just have the main site, and I will be working to try to plug the memory leak so that we can have this and the old framework running in parallel. Basically, give it a couple of weeks.
Fine. I’ll just scurry back into my hole and play more WAR Online.
